The 13th season of the series featured five ladies in New York City, such as Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeny, and Eboni K. Williams. On May 4, 2021, the thirteenth episode of the television series was shown on Bravo. At that time, Eboni K. Williams joined the show, aside from Heather Thomson and Bershan Shaw appearing as housewives’ friends.

In Season 13, Tinsley Mortimer quit after she got engaged to off-again, on-again fiancé Scott Kluth and moved to Chicago. During the final episode, she stated that “I, of course, am going to miss my new friendship with Leah and Sonja’s crazy antics with me.” She added, “I have changed so much since coming back to New York and moving into Sonja’s townhouse…It’s taken me a little bit of time, but I finally feel like myself again. I feel confident again.”

The avid fans of the series were also happy to know that Leah was back. In September 2020, Leah’s fans noticed that the reality TV star removed RHONY on her Instagram bio, and there were speculations that she hasn’t signed a deal with Bravo yet. However, she confirmed that she would be featured again on the show.

Eboni Williams also joined the 13th season of the Real Housewives of New York. She stated that “NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife.”

Episode 13 of Season 13, the show’s last episode, featured LuAnn and Ramona as they learned about Sonja’s late-night escapades with one of the party guests. Aside from that, Leah reconnected with her siblings for the first time since her grandmother’s funeral.

In September 2021, Bravo confirmed that the 13th season reunion was officially canceled. It marked the first time in the Real Housewives franchise’s history that a season would not feature an all-cast reunion.

On March 23, 2022, an announcement that the executive producers decided to “most likely” recast the show from scratch for the 14th season. It was probably because of the last season’s hostile reception. Besides, they’re planning to create a second version of the series following some of its original homemakers. This version is referred to as RHONY: Legacy or RHONY: Throwback.

“The Real Housewives of New York” has spin-offs entitled Bethenny Frankel Ever After and Bethenny & Fredrik with Bethenny. These are the results of the success of the aforementioned series.

In July 2012, the streaming platform released a social networking video game version of the show. It was entitled Real Housewives: The Game and a new game is available after its weekly new episodes.
